During WWII, the …
During WWII, the American forces used 30-06 ammo in the M1 Garand rifle, >30 Carbine ammo in the M1 Carbine & .45 ACP ammo in their .45 pistols. This ammo is still popular today. The Russians did not use the AK-47 in WWII. Their ammo was the 7.62 x 54, which will NOT fit in the smaller AK-47′s 7.62 x 39 chamber. The M-16 uses 5.56 x 45 (.223 Remington) which wasn’t common until the late 1960s. Check the rifles’ marking on the barrel or receiver to find the correct caliber.

But can you use ammo from the 50′s in a firearm from the 90s. What about the firearm today? Let me ask you, which WW2 type ammo will fit into an AK47 or an AR15? However, if you were to store ammo as money, would you store the 5.56 AR15 or the 7.62 AK47 ammo?

Ammo does NOT have an expiry date. If stored properly, it will last longer than you will. I have shot lots of ammo from the 50′s & 60′s without problem.

Look at Zimbabwe, its dollar collapses, but if you have a South African bank a/c, you can withdraw African currency and use it to make purchases. Similarly, you can do the same in Canada or any other country. The world is not going to collapse even if the US dollar collapses.

If you want to store in today’s currency of $50,000. You will need about 5000 big airtight containers which would fill up 10 1-bedroom apartments. So, just to store $50,000, an average yearly income, you can’t even store it in your own home. However, with gold, say an equivalent of 50 oz can easily fit under your bed. Good luck finding a place to store your rice.

Did you think I wanted people to store rice in paper bags lol? Of course it goes in airtight containers and will last 10 years or more. I got news for you if dollar collapses your not gonna have a nice phat offshore account it won’t work that way.

Again, I said there’s no such thing as paper gold. Paper and gold are 2 different things. You don’t have to keep your gold at home, you can store it in an offshore deposit account. Gold is not useless, because with gold, you can buy food whenever you want. You can’t keep food forever, but you can keep gold forever. Good luck with your rice after it turns bad.

Gold last 3000 years and you can put it out in the sun or soak it in water. White rice 10 years? Try soaking it in water and see if it last 10 years. Ammo cannot be use on all guns but I guess you can accumulate the ammo for the popular rifles like the AK47 or the AR15. But ammo has an expiry date as well. You don’t have to buy gold like jewellery, just normal bullion will do, basically get the physical metal.

White rice lasts 10 years or more. Ammo is of course for your firearms. And gold is indeed sold in paper as a market investment. That was my point was to buy physical gold like jewelery.
