   i am a miner and have been for my nearly 4+ years now of playing i suggest if your not maxed out on mining to max it out and once you do circle around sholazar basin or icecrown if you don’t have a epic flier you will make a lot less money but i usually make around 600g a hr easily with a epic flier but the income will greatly depend on your servers economy and the time you have to waste farming i say waste because you really don’t need to farm at all i do because i have way too much free time and i don’t feel like playing the auction house and i am just too lazy and laziness will greatly affect your income also as i said i can make 600g a hr easily but i usually only end up with about 300-400 and only farm maybe once a week for about a hr and constantly go afk and come back in that time

   the few different ways i have seen mining really work out great:

   can prospect the ore with a jewcrafter and sell the gems you get on the AH

   turn the ore into bars and sell those on the AH (thorium from eastern plague lands is great money since 80′s want to power lvl a crafting profession but are to lazy to run aroudn looking for it. i have make 80ish gold form a stack of 20)

   get a crafting profession that uses mining that makes some money. either cut the gems you prospect, make the epic items from a blacksmith, or the epic guns from engineer

   or if you are just really lazy and are maxed out level miner, use your titansteel cool down. either buy the items and sell the bar, or get the items from others and just get a tip from them for using your cool down.

   my husband and i started characters on wildhammer and he did mining/jewelcrafting and by level 12 he’d made over 300g just by mining and selling stacks of ore. ridiculous i know, but most people dont want to do the work when leveling a new character up, or starting a new profession they just buy the mats. i think that’s your best bet. mine your little heart out and sell all the ore. dont even smelt it, you’ll make more money that way.

   Its pretty easy just spend lots of time levelling up your mining skills & sell everything at the auction house but make sure you check what the prices are first so you get the most gold that you can

   well it’s simple rly, work on ur mining skill so u can mine higher level minerals, once u mine them look at auction house prices, (sometimes ores go for higher than the bars, but, usually the bars go for higher.) once u’ve decided dependeing on what the decision is do or do not smelt it then set it slightly lower than the lowest price for the amount u have. if the amount u have is not listed just ballpark it and hope it sells there is no guarantee that u will but if u want to take a risk set it slightly higher than the lower prices but be cautious also always set a buy now price and put the starting bid close to that. and remember the longer u put it on for the more it will cost more but will be more likely to sell due to the extended exposure. note things like coarse stones can be found also sell these to people like engineers and shdowgems to jewel crafters only one last thing to do….. ENJOY ALL OF THAT GLORIOUS GLORIOUS GOLD!!!!!!!!!!

   well a lvl 5 can make 30g an hour selling copper ore that is found in ellwyen forest it depends on your level

   mining is one the way best ways to make gold on wow you can make 500g an hour

   i like to smith my ore to make amour and wepons and sell them
